Grrrrr!!!!!

I should have updated you long before this, but I have a few things to Grrr about. First off, I didn't get the job. Typing speed was just too slow. I practiced for over a week.

Second, I did meet with the buyer and it's official. I'm a pro. ;)

And now onto the new stuff. I had a nice long weekend of shooting, but also had something new happen. I had attended a good friends birthday party and was elected to be the group photographer for the night. I took about 50 shots, only to later find that the Compact Flash card failed. All the shots are corrupt and may be lost forever. :( I had a friend pull the files from the bad card and burn them to CD. I need to find a good Mac program to restore damaged image files.

Wish me luck.

A turning point.

News item number one: It's been an interesting week, and I should have posted something a few days ago. At my day job, I'm applying for a secretarial job that pays better. Problem is, it requires 70wpm typing. I type mid 50's at best. I've been practicing, but probably not as much as I should. I re-take the test on Wednesday. Wish me luck.

News item number two: I breathed fresh life into my aging Mac Powerbook G4 by maxing out the RAM. Back in '04, I bought the machine with 3/4gb of memory. More than enough at the time. Now I've upped it to the 1-1/4 maximum. I can feel the difference when photo editing.

News item three: Jul and I went walking around downtown today (taking pics, of course, as we went). We stumbled upon an interesting construction site and started snapping away. Before long, the job boss waved me over. After introductions, he asked me how much I'd want for the shots. I'VE ACTUALLY BEEN OFFERED MONEY for my photography! We exchanged contact info. Woohoo!!

That's all for now. :)
