Wazuuuup

Summer feels like it's over, here in Anchorage. THAT'S what is 'up'.

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I've posted, so I'll bring you up to speed. I've been spending the last month getting to know my new camera. I bought a domain and hosting for my upcoming business website, and my wife is building the page as we speak.

Lately, everythigng I do on my personal time is to me, a photographic opportunity. This weekend - the Alaska State Fair! And I haven't told you my big news. Each year, Alaska has a lottery for residents to be able to drive their own vehicles into Denali National Park during four days in mid September. There are 400 winners chosen for each of the four days for a total of 1600 people allowed to drive. This is a region that is normally restricted to guided tour bus travel, and aside from being just a couple dozen miles from the peak of Mt. Denali (McKinley), there is the real posibility for close encounters with wildlife and huge sweeping vistas for landscape photography.

This is the first year I have entered the lottery. I won. My family and I will drive Denali Park!

So if the park doesn't close early due to snow in the next couple weeks (a real posibility), I'm going to rent a small SUV and load 'er up with camera gear. I've never been to Denali and my photog buddies who have, say that I need to be in the park prior to sunrise to get the best wildlife shots. We may drive up a day early to motel it.

I'll keep you posted on the new site and will be sure to link it here when we are up and running. I will have high-quality prints available for sale, and will also be featuring photo art from my photographer friends.

Hi,

I came across your pics on flickr while looking for Apple related tags (I'm a Mac user too, switched in Feb 06 to an iMac, now a proud owner of a MacBook too).

I'd love to get your input on some of my pics found here;
