Mid-week blah.
This is going to be a catch-all blog post.
Political: It looks like Anchorage Mayor Begich won a 2nd term. Hooray for that. I think he's done a good job and wish him well on his 2nd term. But the school improvement bonds were shot down, as was the bond propositon to buy the historic Anchorage 4th Avenue Theater. Major bummer, because the property may be in danger of being razed. Anchorage has such little architectural history. But this is understandable because the city is not as flush with cash as it was in the oil-boom years.
Work: The employees at Chugach Electric are all holding their collective breath. If the two board seats that are up for election are not overturned in our favor, we may all be out after July. VOTE YOUR CHUGACH BALLOT. AND VOTE FOR JEFF AND JIM. Other than that, work is fine for me this week.
Personal: Not much news here. Some friends have just gotten back to town after being 'Outside' (of Alaska) all winter. Nice.
