The rainstorm of my life

A friend suggested that if my life is a rainstorm right now, I should just pull my rubber boots on and splash in the puddles. In other words, things will get better so just chill. With that in mind, here's an update on my week:

I was successful in getting our payroll dept to cut me a check for the missed 2 days of holiday leave. I would have survived on the smaller paycheck, but I'm happy that this was resolved. I am also re-taking the typing exam next week. I'll find a good typing practice program and get cracking.

The cough is still with us. But I'm taking today off to rest (making it a 3-day weekend). It's also my Mom's B-day today!
